In 1992 Kesto started in Estonian Republic with collecting old car batteries and sending them to recycling. Along with Estonian waste law establishment in 1992 Kesto received hazardous waste handling licence KJ-3. From that time our company main objective is hazardous waste recycling. Today Kesto owns hazardous waste licence No 0241, issued by Estonian Ministry of the Environment in 14.06.2010.
From 1995 we have been collecting hazardous waste from Tallinn citizens. In partnership with Tallinn Environmental Department we have developed waste collection network, which is based on Tallinn waste collection points. We also are collecting hazardous waste from all over Estonia Republic. Outside of Tallinn we have contracted other companies who are responsible of waste handling and recycling. Kesto is member of Estonian Waste Management Association.
